Ok, what did that have to do with anything?
500 out of 100. Please tell me you understand that.
Re: 222nd Legion Chronicles: Men Down
I thought it was a mere joke; three types of people and you listed two? I dunno.

Gooooooood. Lot's of interesting plot in here! I'm going to come to like this commander . You impress me as to how you can pull off a very nice looking comic without GIMP, and I do love that medcenter.

Wowza You really make some amazing comics CC. Great job on this one! I thought it was a bit strange though how he killed a clone marshal commander. But, I really didn't like him anyway, so once again, great job!
Re: 222nd Legion Chronicles: Men Down
Well, that made no sense... 'Davy' is no different from Axel (if anything, Axel should have been more independant, given that he's a shocktrooper), so what's his motivation to defect? That really did seem to come from nowhere, seeing as they were in the middle of a civil conversation. Also, why didn't Davy take the bridge first? It's a perfectly good tactic and could have saved some of his men's lives. Oh, and if Davy's creating a splinter group, seperate from the 222nd, why does he give a toss about Helioscaunt? Everyone praising this comic for its 'plot' seem to have overlooked a fair few flaws.
As for the presentation, you could stand to work on your photography and SFX. At the moment a lot of your photos are quite grainy and I little blurred. I'd see about using better lighting, as this is usually the cause of such things. SFX-wise, there's nothing much you can do besides practice a lot. The green blasterfire in one later shot looked quite lazy, as it was clearly an unmodified, automatic effect, and it didn't really line up with the blaster. Just work on spending more time on, and thinking more carefully about your comics (plotting, shooting, post-production) in general.

That was brilliant! I loved the fact that Davy betrays Axel, and shoots him.

Nice comic, as usual! Don't mix Phase I (CW) and Phase II though.

There was a reason for the mixing DP.
Anyways, That was an epic comic! The plot was brilliant, and very dramatic. This is one of my top favorite comics.

So.....TJN....is there anything good about this comic? Cause I think it's pretty darn sweet.
Re: 222nd Legion Chronicles: Men Down
Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention, why did the medics lay that guy down on his back if he ruptured a spine?
Re: 222nd Legion Chronicles: Men Down
Can you even rupture a spine in the first place?

Re: 222nd Legion Chronicles: Men Down
Rupture: the act of breaking or bursting: The flood led to the rupture of the dam. (from Dictionary.com)
What was he hit with that his spine would explode!

Re: 222nd Legion Chronicles: Men Down
Maybe it was a solid bullet with a tiny expando-sponge which is aimed directly at the spine to cause rupture once it is free to take on new size what with the liquids in the body.

Shock troopers aren't independant, in fact, they're bred to be more obidient -- they're the Chancellor's men. I think he didn't take the bridge first because he didn't realize that he should take the bridge first, and that went down as a tactical flaw. He doesn't want to see his commander make a stupid error like he did, so he is taking matters into his own hands, losing it when he hears of the impending failure on Helioscant. Since his commander won't agree with him, and he is in a fit of insanity, he attempts to shoot him.

Try hollow point bullets. When entering a person's body, the force of impact causes it to shatter once inside the body, giving a shotgun effect on the inside of the body. If the soldier was shot in the back, by a hollow-point slug, than the shotgun effect would have happened all down his spine, rupturing it .

Thunder-blade wrote:I don't think slugthrower bullets "glow" like laser though...
They could if their enveloped in laser. See Episodes III's sep-mounted ship cannons. Those slugs have a solid core, which is fired from the barrrel of the cannon, the slug being enveloped in energy as it's discharged, while the spent housing of the core is ejected from the back.
Same prinicple... although now I'm reaching for it .
